Reaching Cape Town

Cape Town Airport
Cape Town International Airport is 20 minutes from the Cape Town City centre. Numerous direct flights land at Cape Town International Airport (021 937 1257) while some flights touch down in Johannesburg first.

South African Airways is the main international and domestic carrier. SA Airlink and SA Express also cover most domestic routes and other airlines include Comair Nation Wide, Kulula and 1time Airlines. The direct flights between the USA and South Africa take about 15 hours and to Australia between 9 – 14 hours. Flights between London and Cape Town take about 12 hours. Flight information may be obtained by telephoning 021 934 0407.

There is no public transport from the airport to the city so pre booking a transfer service is the best option. Shuttle services operated by Magic Bus (021 505 6300), City Hopper (021 934 4440) and Centurion (021 934 8281) operate to the city or taxis are available.
