The Mowbray Golf Club
One of the oldest clubs in Cape Town, the Mowbray Golf Club is one of the best in the country. It has hosted the SA Open 7 times and the Bell’s Cup, 3 times. It is renowned for its smooth immaculate greens, lush fairways and beautiful views of Table Mountain.

The Rondebosch Golf Club
Established in 1911, the Rondebosch Golf Course is a Cape Town institution. It has hosted various tour events, including the South African Ladies Amateur open and the Sunshine Tour, South Africa’s premier golfing competition. It is a challenging 18 hole course with a river winding through the fairways. Rondebosh is well known for its strong ladies contingent.

Royal Cape Golf Club
The first golf club in South Africa, this championship course has hosted the South African Championship over 10 times. The club has reciprocity with a great many clubs around the world. It is a flat parkland course with views of the surrounding mountains. With narrow fairways, trees and plenty of water on the course, this course presents a challenging round of golf.

Steenberg Golf Club
This private golf club has a 18 hole championship course which is reputed to have the best greens in Cape Town. There are also a number of practice areas, including a driving range, chipping area with sand traps and a large putting green. The course is open to visitors and golfing tour groups.

Westlake Golf Club
Situated in the Silvermine area of Cape Town, Westlake is an 18 hole, par 72 golf course. It is relatively flat with lots of trees. It affords beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Milnerton Golf Course
A true links course, this 18 hole championship course is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Milnerton Lagoon to the east. With unobstructed views of Table Mountain, this course is subject to the vagaries of the prevailing summer wind, the South Easter. American golfer, Calvin Pete, once called it a “Mickey Mouse Course” after shooting a record 63 to lead the PGA SA Masters, on a first day of perfect conditions. His 2nd round score was 83, the South Easter having wreaked its revenge on day 2.
