Classical Music
The Cape Town Concert Series happens once a month at the Baxter Concert Hall. St Georges Cathedral Choir gives performances free of charge. Between December and March concerts are held at Kirstenbosch gardens on Sunday afternoons. The Oude Libertas Centre, in Stellenbosch, is an open-air theatre where classical music is performed in the summer.

Live music is performed at many venues. The Belville Velodrome hosts international bands (021 949 7450).
