Cape Town has a Mediterranean climate with four seasons. Winter runs from June to August and is when most of the rain arrives. In the winter the temperature drops to 7°C at night rising to a 18°C by day.
The spring is from August to October when the southeasterly winds blow. Summer is from November to February and near the coast summer temperatures range from 15°C to 27°C and inland temperatures are some 3 to 5 degrees higher. Expect long warm days of up to 14 hours of sunshine each day.
